Wow, how lovely. A few days off, I waited so long for this moment.

In the meantime we updated Tjampoer Adoel and added 6 new movie-galleries. Also we started the Movie Call Back service and we like to thank Cláudio for his recall on Jeremy Sumpter's movie: Peper Pan. I hope more Call Back moments will follow in the next future.

We are absolutly ready for it. So: don't hesitate, don't feel shy - use it.

Also we are proud to present you an endorable new, english writer. His name is David the boy.

Last week we skipped our latest news announcements. We had a good reason for it because we preferred to concentrate on the restore of the Tjampoer Adoel site. In the meantime the restore of our Dutch Stories is almost finished. For the next two weeks we scheduled to restore the Dutch Poems. After this is done we can say the Tjampoer Adoel is in good shape again and then it's time to add some more English articles, stories and poems.

Every week our TA-moviespages are growing and growing. Now there are ten fully operational galleries online while we archived (just thumbnail galleries) another eight. In the next few weeks we are ready to start up the TA-movie database. If you like to have one of the archived movies back online again then you can mail me or simply leave a message for me in the guestbook. Your wish is my command ;-) While waiting you have access to more then 1.000 movie pictures. Help yourself.

I hope this weekend update is satifactionary for you again. Have lots of fun with reading and watching pictures.

There was nobody around me when I started this weekend update. Really, I had no intention to do something special concerning our 2 years online. But ... this milestone tasted to good to let it pass without any activity at all.

Despites the good weather this sunday I stayed home again to do some renovation of our movie-galleries. It was a long time ago that the last update was made. Reason enough to adjust the movie galleries with an enormous facelift. I overlooked the situation and I estimated how many bandwith we could use.

Hm, eight new galleries was my target.

And ...

There we are ... eight new movie galleries are online and I also made a planning to update the movepages more frequently. I know it's a lot of work but it's my goal to create a large movie database since I noticed that MOVIEBOY went offline on may 1st.

Still a couple of nights to sleep and then we can celebrate the historical fact that Tjampoer Adoel is online for two years. The first of may is the day that you should hightlight on your calender. After two years we still have pleasure in collecting and publishing the good work of our friends.

There will be no special activities to celebrate our two years online. For this reason we have developped a new design already. But ... congrats will be very welcome.

Recently we have been asks on which resolution Tjampoer Adoel is best seen. Our former design was based on 800 x 600 pixels. Still you can use this format but we suggest that you better press on the F11 button on your machine. With this function on, the browers will appear without an addressline and this makes the site show up completly. But any higher resolution would be better.

I can't explain to you how nervous I was last friday. This was certainly because our sitecounter was slowly reaching out to meet a new milestone. And there it was: about 7.50 a.m. CET, a lovely moment to remember. 250.000 visitors in less then two years time. Wow, this was a great feeling indeed. Of course the champagne was waiting to celebrate this very special moment.

At the same time I realized that we couldn't make so many frequently updates without the efforts of our friends who are providing this site with lovely stories, poems, drawings and photo's. They are really important friends to me and same are you. I hope we have created a cozy place for you to stay.

This sunday update seems to turn out as a Johnny special. We can find a mixture of his amazing photography skills in the galleries and we find also the pleasure in presenting you the first part of his extremly touching life story: Gaudí, my final masterpiece.

Furthermore I like to speak out some words of thank to those visitors who has left a message in our guestbook. It was wonderfull to read that you like our new design and that you are happy with our updates. For me it's really important to have your support.

First Easter day:

I'm sitting behind the computer and I'm working. That's my destiny, I can't sit down and do nothing. I'm not complaining about this because, since I was a young boy, I was supposed to work. Nobody was forcing me but in my childhood I helped a friend who was selling magazines on his area. It was his job and I liked his job, but I liked him more. He was just a father to me. I still remember that I didn't go home after school was closed. I wanted to be with him.

With him the world was totaly different. He was always there and was paying me lots of attention. He was glad to see me after schooltime. And when he saw me walking in the street, where in his little car with magazines stood, he waved to me with a big, bright smile on his face. He was my hero and I was proud to know him. Maybe he's still the reason that I'm working in my free time. Anyway, my thoughts were with him again during the last days.

Second Easter day:

I woke up late this morning remembering that I still have a lot to do. Later on today I have to update our site: Tjampoer Adoel. Yesterday I worked hard on a new design. A better one, that's my believe and I hope that this could be the ultimate one. But I'm not sure. There might come many other designs after this, I know myselve.

What about the old design, wasn't this good enough?

Yeah, it was, but it was not really inviting me to make complete updates for poems, stories and articles. This one is less complex and will makes it a lot easier to update.

The other reason is the quantity of visitors. Within a couple of weeks we will reach a total of 250.000 people who watched the site frequently from the beginning. This record sounds like a new beginning, a new beginning with a history. I'm proud again.

At the same time I like to shout to my 'magazine seller' friend: hey, old man, look. Together we tried so hard to sell magazine on the street. I have an electronic one. I hope you like it".

The new desing is completly dedicated to my AF, who died many years ago. I still love him, that's what I want to say. Thank you Willem for all the things you did for me while I was a young boy, and thank you all for reading this message.
